WHAT IS A DENTAL HYGIENE CLINIC?A dental hygiene clinic is opened by a dental hygiene practitioner, who is licensed to work without oversight of a dentist. Happy Gums Dental Hygiene Clinic is an alternative option for patients to get their teeth professionally cleaned by an experienced dental hygienist without having to switch dentists.
-
HOW MUCH DOES TEETH CLEANING COST AT YOUR CLINIC?We follow the BC Dental Hygienist Association fee guide. The cost of treatment varies depending on each patient's conditions. During our free consultation, we will begin with a meet and greet and explain your personalized treatment plan. There is no fee until patients accept and choose which treatments to proceed. We also offer ongoing promotions, gift cards, and discounts to thank our patients for their support and help increase affordability. Please contact us for more details.
-
DO YOU ACCEPT DENTAL INSURANCE?Yes. We accept and provide direct billing to most dental plans. Please provide your insurance coverage information before your appointment.
-
DO I HAVE TO LEAVE MY DENTIST TO SEE YOU?No, in fact, we highly recommend you to receive a dentist exam regularly. A dental hygienist will work together with your dentist and other health clinicians to provide comprehensive care. With your permission, we can exchange your charts with your dentist to ensure we have updated records. If you do not have a regular dentist, we can refer you to a dental office.
-
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF GOING TO A DENTAL HYGIENE CLINIC?Free consultations in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Book directly with an experienced dental hygienist for gentle and attentive care. Direct billing to most dental insurances. Reserve adequate time for patients to avoid rushing through treatments. Flexible appointment times 7 days a week by appointment Ongoing promotions to encourage patients' effort on improving their oral health.

WILL IT HURT WHEN I GET MY TEETH CLEANED?Some patients may experience pain or sensitivity during cleaning. Our office offers topical anesthetic and local anesthetic to help with pain management depending on patients' needs. We will also recommend appropriate home care techniques and products.
